It has been a while sine I last wrote about an adventure in Museum Land. It’s not because I wasn’t having them, it’s because I found it very difficult to find the time to sit down and craft a blog post. Or two. Or three. Or however many I have notes and photos for on my phone.
February, March and April have all been exceptionally busy. Not only was I training for the Brighton Marathon (which I’m proud to say I ran in 3 hours 40 minutes and a handful of seconds), but there has also been a Very Big Project at work.
The Very Big Project was, and still is, Towner Art Gallery’s Annual School Exhibition, something I’ve worked on since I started at the gallery in 2015. It’s a project that means a lot, not just to me, but to the local community and the gallery as well. Expect a long ol’ post when the project finally comes to fruition in May.
Alongside that, there has been the everyday work load, the weekend workload at the British Museum AND delivering workshops, tours and activities during the school holidays. If you’ve ever worked in a public facing position in a museum, gallery, heritage site, attraction, (the list feels almost endless!) you know how busy and how draining that can be!
With all of this going on, I went on a bit of an accidental blogging-hiatus.
But I’m back now, and I’m raring to go!
